区别就是它们意思是不一样，具体的不同用法如下

1、other其他的，不是指剩下部分的全部， 相当于other+复数名词。

2、the other特制在一定范围内的其余所有的人或物。

3、another 指三者或三者以上的人或物。

other :在某一范围内，some… some…,others…例如,In our PE class,some played basketball.Some played volleyball. Others played baseball.

another :再一个，又一个的意思。例如，I don't like the two,please give me another.

the other:一般是两个中的，一个……，另一个……。例如,I have two pens.One is red,the other is black.

other 别的，其他的，放在名词前面。

another 又一个，再一个，表示三个或三个以上的又一个，再一个。

the other 指两个当中的另一个。One …the other 一个…另一个
